God Is At Work Here!
As a project leader it’s always exciting to see the possibility of places you’re able to lead around the world. I day dream about faraway places and leading teams to remote villages and sharing the Gospel with people who have never heard about Jesus; so you could imagine my hesitation when I was asked to lead a trip to Gainesville, GA. I live here; I already invest in this community. Surely the Lord has somewhere else for me to go, somewhere I haven’t been before.
I couldn’t have been more wrong. This was the perfect place for me to serve because I already invest here and leading here only fueled the fire to invest deeper in this place. The passion that this group from Alabama had for Jesus and to see His kingdom come here in Gainesville only gave me a new passion to see that happen here as well.
Lesson learned: don’t assume that you’ll only see God move in far off places; maybe He wants to show you that He’s at work right here!
