One of our teams had been to the Police Station for the morning ministry on Wednesday. There they got a tour, heard about the policemen’s job, and got silver sticker badges.

That afternoon we were at the Good Samaritan Food Pantry when we got a text from team member, Seth.  He was headed home with his family for naptime and was stopped by emergency vehicles.  There was an active shooter in his neighborhood.  He went to his parent’s home for naptime.  He sent a message to our team about what was happening.  We stopped our work and circled up to pray.  Since this team had just been to the police station that morning, they had great insight as to how to pray for this situation.  Safety, no injury, and peaceful resolution were some things they asked God for.

We heard about an hour later that all of those prayers had been answered!

The next day we had another team going to the police station.  They shared how the team had prayed for them the previous afternoon as the incident was current.  2 of the men at the police station had been on the scene.  They were very thankful for the prayers!
